Flirting Skills 0/10

Is it just me that sucks at flirting? I mean it’s the one skill I have never seemed to have mastered. I try and flirt with a guy I like. I mean I smile and I try and construct a sentence, all that comes out is a whimper and a smile, that makes my face look like a piece of gone off fruit.

Maybe this is where I’m going wrong with guys. I get to the date and I turn to this bumbling mess. Take this for an example of how bad my flirting skills are. About 2 years ago I was out shopping, and there was a cute guy serving me in a shop. As I walked in our eyes met, he smiled, I smiled and then when I went to pay for my items he asked me how my day was going and I had just taken a swig out of my drink and bam. I spat in all over myself. Talk about not very attractive. I mean no wonder he hung his head down, not holding eye contact. A gay guy that can’t swallow it’s not exactly an attractive quality. I’m joking not all gay guys swallow.

I’m sorry I’m getting off topic. Maybe that’s where I’m also going wrong. I’m not exactly normal now. I mean I normally just run around not having a clue what I am doing, singing songs and eating way too much. I meet a guy and I just don’t know when to shut up. I have tried many things to get better at flirting. For example. Becoming more confident in what I say to him, be a little more reserved and Try and keep eye contact. All this and I still suck at flirting. This is why I can’t get dates guys take one look hear me open my trap and are like “Erm no, not going to happen”

I suppose what I’m trying to say is don’t make the mistake I did and try and change yourself for people. If you meet someone you like, just be yourself. Don’t change who you are just to be with someone. I’ve tried changing so much I nearly lost who I was. Luckily I realised, that it doesn’t matter who you are or how you act. Just be yourself and the rest will all fall into place. And above all, never spit on the first date.
