Conversation starters on Grindr.

More and more recently when guys on Grindr are talking to me, their conversation openers are just not what you’d expect. What happened to people having a good conversation? I mean when I want to talk to someone I start with “Hey. How are you?” or “Hey. How’s your day going?” Some guys on Grindr don’t seem to know how to interact with other guys.

The top 10 conversation starters I get on a daily basis are;

9. Hot

10. ‘Dick pic sent’ want to suck?

Like seriously what has happened to having a nice conversation and getting to know someone. Just because I’m on there doesn’t mean that I want to have a penis in my mouth. It’s just nice to meet new people sometimes and just talk. Maybe I am a bit set in my ways and I understand that some guys aren’t ready for a relationship and are only after a wam bam thank you mam kind of experience.

I’ve noticed that some people I have spoken to (straight people) seem to have this perception that gay guys can’t stay in a committed relationship they like to do what they want, when they want, with whoever they want. Sometimes I have to agree with them when one of the conversation starters are one from the list above. But then another part of me thinks. Why are you bothered? If that’s what they want and that’s what makes them happy then leave them to it. Just because we all want different things in life doesn’t mean anyone is wrong. You make your own rules in life.
